JustUs Productions is pleased to announce for MACE 2020, Clint Black will be running Savage Worlds Adventure Edition on Friday night and Saturday night.
The Con Game (Savage Worlds)
It’s time once again for the greatest fandom convention in the Southern Mid-North Carolina region during late autumn, MASE! The Meeting Assemblage Symposium Expo is celebrating it’s 24th (month) anniversary!
The convention heads, Ref and John, have pulled out all the stops with lots of special guests!
Game designers like Shaun Headsley whose RPG very nearly funded on Kickstarter!
And of course you know, Mac Murser, the famous voice actor and GM of Literal Roll. His cousin will be there! Plus special appearances from both the TV and movie Bat-Lad, Teen Mutate Ninjitsu Tortoises, and other famous shows…of replicas of their vehicles AND the people who made them!
It looks to be the best MASE ever! At least it better be, since it’s your job to insure it all runs smoothly, and Ref and John are counting on you.
Bring your tongue firmly planted in cheek for this romp through a convention where everything will most definitely not go as planned. You know, like every other con.
Clint Black is Savage Worlds Core Rules Brand Manager for Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Savage Worlds is the Origins award-winning roleplaying game that is one of the most popular systems in the hobby. Clint also won a Silver ENnie at GenCon 2011 for Space 1889: Red Sands. Clint started as a freelance writer with Pinnacle over ten years ago, but his involvement grew significantly with the advent of Savage Worlds. He transitioned from a playtester on the original design team to the creator of one of the first and most popular books for the system (supervillain setting Necessary Evil, now in its third printing) to one of the designers and ultimately brand manager of the core rules. Along the way, he worked on multiple Savage Worlds projects, including the Horror, Fantasy, and Super Powers Companions, Weird War 2, Space 1889, and of course the landmark Pinnacle setting, Deadlands. Additionally, Clint serves as the face of Pinnacle on their forums, acting as the Official Rules Answer Man and administrator for years. He counts this opportunity to hang out and chat with fans online as one of the perks of the job.
He is married to multiple award-winning RPG editor Jodi Black and is the father of two awesome gamer daughters. In 2012, Clint Black won an Gold ENnie Award for Savage Worlds Deluxe.
James F. Kelly, otherwise known as the The Tabletop Engineer on Youtube, will be attending MACE again in 2020. James’ channel is devoted to the creation of game terrain for fantasy, science fiction, and other game genres. Original terrain designs are shared along with those inspired by existing products. Where appropriate, tools such as a 3D printer, laser cutter, and CNC machine are used to enhance projects.
At MACE 2020, he will be running the following in-person games
FRIDAY 8 PM
Call of Cthulhu
4 players
Players will take on the roles of 1930s era investigators who stumble upon an ancient evil in the small city of Arkham, Massachusetts. No experience required. Rules will be taught and pre-rolled character options will be provided. I will be using the Pulp Cthulhu rules expansion that beefs up the investigators to HEROES who have a better chance of surviving… but not much. Game does involve horror elements.
Saturday 2 PM
D&D
4 players
For beginners or those new to D&D. Players will be provided with pre-rolled character options and the rules will be taught as the game moves forward. Perfect for young kids, too. The adventure will have some scary elements but not too extreme horror elements. The adventure will be a typical dungeon crawl and last between 2-3 hours.
Sunday 9 AM
Frostgrave
4 players (2 teams, 2v2)
Players must bring their own Level 1 Wizard/Apprentice and Warband miniatures. 2nd Edition rules will be used and I will provide terrain for the game. Game should last between 2-4 hours.
