We are excited to let everyone know that the folks who do the food and the Flea Market at ReCon will be headed to mini-mace. They will be doing food during the day and helping you sell and buy some gently used games. They do this for a good cause so please come out and support them and play a few games while you are at it. More information about food and how they will handle the Flea Market will be coming soon.
See everyone on January 25th at mini-mace. Let us know if you have any questions about the day.
Flea Market Update:
The flea market is also being run by volunteers working with the American Belarusian Relief Organization. List items in the flea market for $0.50 a piece. Simply enjoy gaming all-day while the folks from ABRO oversee sales on your behalf. The flea market will be open until 8pm; you’ll need to have cashed-out and collected all of your unsold items by this time. All of the proceeds from the listing fees will help support the volunteers’ work again this summer.
mini-mace 2020 will once again host a full weekend of Hull Breach and Henchmen! card games by Clarion Game Studios. Please join Todd and Lynn in the gaming rooms for 1 to 2 hour long demos of this unique and exciting card game.
About Hull Breach
Hull Breach is a sci-fi cards-and-dice game featuring epic space combat between ships, firefights between Marine boarding parties, and plenty of clever tactics and galaxy-shaking events. You command of a space station belonging to one of our several in-game factions and fight it out with one or more other Commanders to achieve galactic domination! The object of the game is to protect your Station – your home in space – from other Commanders while trying to capture or destroy theirs. Be warned – they’re trying to do the same thing to you. It’s a tough galaxy and at the end of the day only one Commander gets to remain standing.
Best of all, while we encourage customization and deck-building, this isn’t one of those “collectible” card games that will have you tearing through randomized foil packs of cards to find the ones you want. Hull Breach plays right out of the box and you’ll know where you can find every card in the game without having to drop a ton of space-cash on boosters or turn to the secondary market to field a competitive deck.
About Henchman, the Game
Sword & Sorcery meets The Office in this fast-paced card game about backstabbing and sucking up to an Evil Overlord!
Working for an Evil Overlord is never the safest of jobs, nor the most prestigious, and certainly not the most lucrative, but there’s still a certain amount of pride in doing so. That’s especially true when the Overlord’s fiendish plan for world domination finally comes to fruition. At that point, the best place to be is at the Overlord’s side as their right-hand man, woman, or ogre. This lofty position over all other Minions is the single goal, the end-point, the focus of every Minion to become the one and only HENCHMAN.
THIS IS A GM CALL FOR mini-mace 2020!
January 25, 2020
Bunker Hill UMC. Kernersville, NC
With MACE and the Thanksgiving holidays behind us, we are getting ready for the return of mini-mace. For those do not know, mini-mace (intentionally lowercase), is an official JustUs Productions game day in Kernersville. We have pick up as well as scheduled games. It’s fairly casual, smaller venue but always a good day of gaming. We usually have food on site from the Grinning Goblin. Attendance in the past has been between 60 to 100 people. I do realize not everyone can make it but those that think they can, please consider it.
For those that wish to propose scheduled games for mini-mace 2020, the best way to do that is through OGRe. Go to ogre.justusproductions.com. Log in (Make an account if you don’t have one.) Click Propose Event on the left menu. We are accepting RPGs, board games, card games and anything else with a relatively small to medium sized foot-print. Space for large miniature games is not available.
If you prefer to email me, please include as much information about your event as possible. It is sort of a hassle to go back and forth with questions with so many GMs. Include game name and any link that will explain the game and/or provide the description, especially if it is a obscure game. Also include schedule preferences keeping in mind our standard 4 hr slot schedule (although you are not limited to that schedule).
Running at least one game gets you in free (although the fee is only $5). We will be running 3 sessions for the most part. For four hour slots, they will be
9 AM -1 PM
1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
6 PM – 10 PM
Hope you can make it.
