In I Drank What?, it is the party of the year, and all your worst enemies have been invited. You have brought along a bottle of poison to help spice the evening up. Funny, so did all the other guests. With all the witty banter and bumbling of the staff, you have lost track of which glasses of wine were poisoned.
The only thing certain is that someone is going to die, and the survivors will have a good laugh. It’s all in good fun, so long as you have the last one. So propose a toast, and drink as if there were no tomorrow, because, for you, tomorrow may never come.
I Drank What? is the fast and furiously funny card game of poison toasts and split-second treachery. It’s a wine tasting to die for…
Game Play Each player has a card representing a glass of wine, face down in front of them; one of these glasses is poisoned. Eventually, everyone will have to take a drink, and someone will die. The last person left alive in the party wins.
MACE 2021 will once again host several brilliant game designers and publishers attending for the sole purpose of demoing and play testing their unpublished games. We feel very privileged and honored that these fine designers would use MACE as a testing ground for their ideas.
An unpublished game with that as a working title. Demoing it to the owner of Twilight Creations on 9/10. If she picks it up, I want to start building some interest in it for a likely upcoming kickstarter
An unpublished game that I want to start building some interest. Will be a pseudo-educational game, that I plan to pitch to Genius Games, maybe as early as 10/1 (depends how much time Zombie Frenzy takes!)
An unpublished game set in a D&D 5E universe, where players defend the town of Strongholme from a Goblin Invasion. Planning to pitch to Mr. B as soon as the Table Top Simulator assets are finished
Twice Alive Games

The zombie apocalypse is upon us! The infection is spreading, and you must stop it… unless, that is, your cynicism, darkness, denial, or overwhelming hunger for fresh brains has overshadowed your will to save humanity.
Who can you trust in this game of deception and shifting allegiances? Even those who are silent may be lying to your face. You must summon all your intelligence and intuition to identify friend from foe and turn your enemies against each other to survive. You must fight for survival as you are plunged into the war between Zombies, Survivors, and Maniacs, taking on the roles of up to 14 unique characters with special abilities and innumerable combinations. Only your cunning and quick thinking can lead you to victory.
You’ve only got to make it through the night—do you have the brains to get the job done?
MACE 2021 is proud to welcome Mountaineer Games to our community. They will feature official open demos throughout the weekend of their board game called STACKEDby the designers Tim and LeAnn Phillips, as well as their new card game, Alien Uprising: Zothren Invasion. These demos will take place in the dealers room. They will also be selling these games.
Hull Breach is a sci-fi cards-and-dice game featuring epic space combat between ships, firefights between Marine boarding parties, and plenty of clever tactics and galaxy-shaking events. You command of a space station belonging to one of our several in-game factions and fight it out with one or more other Commanders to achieve galactic domination! The object of the game is to protect your Station – your home in space – from other Commanders while trying to capture or destroy theirs. Be warned – they’re trying to do the same thing to you. It’s a tough galaxy and at the end of the day only one Commander gets to remain standing.
Best of all, while we encourage customization and deck-building, this isn’t one of those “collectible” card games that will have you tearing through randomized foil packs of cards to find the ones you want. Hull Breach plays right out of the box and you’ll know where you can find every card in the game without having to drop a ton of space-cash on boosters or turn to the secondary market to field a competitive deck.
MACE West 2020 is proud to welcome Michael Mikaelian and his game Berd.He will be demoing his game most of the weekend as open demos in the Gallery.
The “Berd” is an ancient word that stands for a fortress or prison. The goal of the game is to collect the most tokens of any color by the end of the game. Playing pieces in the Berd game have ability to attach/detach to each other. That allows players to move a stack of tokens like a single unit and split the structure when needed. Using interlocking blocks players can create towers and a certain type of tower – Berd has unique properties that make this game special.
The design of the game is specially made simple underlying an easy and logical concept of the game. However the Berd is a serious game and players have to think strategically to win. Also, the board without a theme allows to play many different Berd games.
The board of the Berd game has a shape of a square castle from top view. In fact the starting/finishing corner squares were designed larger for accommodating four stacks of tokens. Berd game can be played by two and more players. The game set includes two different games and over six game variations for each game. Berd game can be setup in few seconds. Duration of any option of the Berd game depends on how many tokens are played. So players can set up a rapid game of 10 minutes or a long game of 90 minutes. The Berd game for two players may last less than 5 minutes. Berd game can be adjusted for luck and strategy. By employing more tokens in the game it becomes heavier in strategy.
Berd game perfectly fits for tournaments because players can accumulate tokens (or points) in series of games with different players. The interlocking blocks in the “Berd” game are made of high quality ABS plastic with thick walls, so they can last forever without wearing and breaking. The Berd game is ideal for educating children, especially when using value assigned tokens. The game can also help developing strategic thinking.
Empire Games will be attending MACE West, demonstrating their new game, Alchemy 101 as well as their great game, I Drank What?. They will also be hosting a free open-play tournament for Alchemy 101. Join them as they show you how to poison your friends at a wine party and have fun doing it.
About Alchemy 101
Alchemy 101 is 2 to 6 Player game of magical mayhem!
In the game of Alchemy 101 you play young wizards at an unnamed magical academy of some questionable prestige. You are studying for the midterm exam, and your Alchemy Master has set an array of different potions and elixirs.
Your challenge is to find all the magical mixtures hidden among the Pumpkin Soda by any means necessary. To add to the test, a number of Essence of Frog have been placed among the potions. Those who get transmogrified will get an F (for frog, obviously) and must muck out the hippogriff stables (Ewwww!). This quickly becomes a problem because as soon as your teacher left the room, a less than graceful classmate has knocked over a Potion of Forgetting. Now no one remembers which potion is which. The only way to figure that out now is to start tasting.
Only one of you is walking out of here with a good grade, the rest, well, will be small, green and slimy. Alchemy 101 is a mad dash to see who gets the A, and who is hopping to the infirmary.
